Vi bodde én natt på Scandic Winn i Karlstad som et stopp på gjennomreise. Hotellet passet fint til dette og hadde greie fasiliteter for en overnatting. Et stort pluss var muligheten for parkering i parkeringshus, og den sentrale beliggenheten gjorde det enkelt å komme seg rundt. Like i nærheten lå det også en liten park med lekeapparater, noe som var perfekt for at barna kunne få ut litt energi etter en lang kjøretur. Frokosten var god, med et variert utvalg som passet både store og små. Alt i alt et praktisk og hyggelig hotell for en natt på veien, og et sted vi gjerne kunne valgt igjen.

Flott hotell og beliggenhet nær elva, perfekt for ein løpetur/sykkeltur/gåtur/etc. men som alle scandic er rommene veldig varme på natten, og dårlig med lufting, ac så lurt å ha vinduene oppe og vifter på.

Unser Zimmer war grundsätzlich ok, nichts besonderes, aber wir waren nur auf der Durchreise für eine Nacht. Zu erwähnen ist, dass es recht laut war (Autolärm vor dem Hotel und auch hellhörig im Hotel). Das Personal des Hotels ist unaufmerksam und rechtlich nicht informiert. Zum einen hatten wir ein Zimmer für drei Personen gebucht (wir reisen mit unserem Sohn) als wir sehr spät abends müde am Hotel ankamen, haben wir ein Zimmer mit zwei (!) schmalen Einzelbetten erhalten. Wir konnten dann herausfinden wie wir selbst das kleine Sofa ausklappen können und haben weitere Bettwäsche im Zimmer gefunden, so dass wenigstens jeder ein Bett hatte. Bei einem Hotel erwarte ich, dass bei einer Buchung für drei Personen auch drei Betten hergerichtet sind. Es wurde beim Auschecken auch nicht eine Frage nach unserem Aufenthalt gestellt. Desweiteren wurde beim Check-in eine vollständige Kopie meines Personalausweises angefertigt. Dies ist ein Verstoß gegen das geltende EU-Recht, welches das Vorzeigen des Ausweises, jedoch nicht die Anfertigung einer dauerhaften Kopie vorsieht. Erschreckend für eine große Kette wie Scandic! Ich habe so etwas bisher bei keinem Hotel erlebt und ich übernachte sowohl beruflich als auch privat in vielen Hotels.
