Many Hidden Fees

Space and staff were friendly, but was saddened to see they included several hidden fees well beyond the original price quoted by Hotels.com. While some of these were understandable, if steep ($30/night/per pet fee and $15/night for parking). Most egregious was a 'resort fee' for services that were effectively out of order the entire time we were there. The pools and hot tubs were under repair for the length of our stay, and the boardwalk and marina were inaccessible due to the lake being frozen. When asked about it, staff's response was that it also included wi-fi... Might be a reasonable ask during the summer months, but to charge for this kind of thing that is included gratis with most other hotel amenities was very disappointing.

Hotel Eldorado is great for location but not so good for amenities. There was no free breakfast, the shower head was short for my height and didn't run properly, and wasn't close to any restaurants. The view was great but would probably would have had a much better experience in the summer.

Check in walk confusing. Staying at Eldorado, parked at Eldorado, started emptying car, only to find out to go to other resort, had to drive as it was so cold. After check in, drive back, see “hotel lobby” in pack car go in and find out rooms are in another building. How would we have known that. Argh.

What a beautiful property! I loved the old titanic feel and it was very easy to check in/check out. The staff was all very friendly. The windows are a bit old so they felt like they might break when opened but other than that it was a perfect stay!
