My wife and I had the most amazing honeymoon in koh samui, we stayed at sandalwood and it was unbelievable, the views are stunning the staff are soo friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Bougainvilla and would highly recommend anyone to go check it out. Also make sure to visit the on site restaurant Blue Ginger, quite possibly one of the best places to eat in the island. 10/10 unreal holiday destination

My wife and I stayed here for one night and the place was amazing! It isn’t too far from the airport and we were able to get there with no problem by getting a taxi once we landed. It is a little bit of a drive up the mountain (but not much) to get there and the climb is worth it! When we got there, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They got us checked in quickly and we walked up to our room. The layout is essentially a bunch of individual villas along a winding path. When we got to our villa, we were welcomed with a stunning view overlooking the ocean that was visible from pretty much every room! We had a private pool just outside the villa and a bottle of wine we could purchase so we headed out back to drink some wine in the pool while watching an amazing sunset! The villa had a couple of TVs and had good air conditioning, so we were comfortable the entire night and absolutely loved the place. It left us wishing we could have stayed a few more nights. The rooms do require a little walking but nothing strenuous. There aren’t any restaurants nearby but there was a nice hotel restaurant that was quick and easy with lots of good options including breakfast. There was a bit of construction going on in the morning nearby and it sounds like that has been happening for a while. It isn’t being done by the hotel. That was about the only disruption and it wasn’t anything severe enough to keep us from booking here again. Overall it was an amazing stay!

We had an amazing stay at Sandalwood resort. The property was sunny with gorgeous views and our room was spectacular. We had our own private pool too! Our favourite spot on our whole trip through Thailand. The only issue was had was that the hotel was right up a difficult hill to drive/walk so many taxis wouldn’t come up the steep hill to get us or stop us off and we had to hike it… it was a tough walk up. The hotel sometimes offered us their taxi/truck but there were extra costs. Overall an amazing place though.

This is an excellent property if you want a scenic view and privacy. However, it felt a bit like a tourist trap. It is located in a secluded high area. Very challenging to walk out of. You have to pay high prices for the taxi provided by the hotel. The food at the restaurant is delicious but doable, as is the price of other places in town. They were “nickel & dimming” me from the minute I checked in. I did not appreciate feeling trapped and forced to pay for everything. The staff was amiable and attentive. Maybe if you have your own transportation, it would be more enjoyable. On the bright side it's a beautiful properly.

This property is absolutely beautiful. Make sure you have a car that will get up a steep hill. It’s worth it, though! Incredible view, wonderful restaurant, super nice people. I will be back!!

Beautiful property and very friendly staff! We stayed in the 1 bedroom pool villa - the view was amazing, the room and pool were gorgeous and the staff were so friendly. The hotel provides room service for every meal (very tasty food), daily cleaning and have a personal driver to take guests to and from the hotel. They also helped us book activities and went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing. Definitely worth the money, my husband and I will definitely go back one day :)

Such a magical place, we stayed in the suite called Jumpee, it has a private infinity pool, outdoor jacuzzi tub and a spacious interior. The staff is super friendly and so helpful. The on site restaurant has a great selection and the food is great. The resort is isolated but they have a shuttle service that will take you anywhere and it is priced very reasonably. I would definitely recommend this resort for a quiet and memorable stay.

Beautiful property, it is beginning to show it's age. High up in the mountains, you get amazing views, great photos. But far away from store resturant and just off the local highways. Taxis and bus are not easy to get to go that direction. And it's. Much more expensive then other areas for transportation. Fortunately, the hotel does a little shuttle up and down the steep hill and to the 2 local beaches.

Absolutely the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in! They treated us like royalty. Picked us up from the ferry terminal in a private car. The sea view was amazing! The room was HUGE (2000 sq ft??) with a kitchen, second bedroom, giant balcony, jacuzzi tub. Free shuttle service to and from town. The owner even drove us in his own vehicle to a nearby town b/c it was after the shuttle's hours. Wanted to stay here forever!! Top notch!
