The Riverside Inn was great and excellent value. It is very much a help yourself sort of place as the reception wasn’t manned when we arrived, but the staff in the pub had been given our room key, which was good. The room is comfortable and equipped with coffee making things. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We ate in the pub and the food was very tasty and the pub staff super friendly and helpful. For a budget priced stay we thought it was great value and would stay again!

If you’re planing to fish for brown trout in the Cowichan River, the Inn is a fantastic place to stay. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the pub and cafe, pool tables to converse with the locals, and great pillows and bedding. I was truly impressed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We checked in late at 10pm on a Friday. The air conditioning unit did not work in Room 11. The room was very hot. We were too tired to go and request a different room. We opened the windows and made do. They were accomodating with late check out and were very friendly. Other than the heat/AC issue, it was a great stay. Comfortable beds and clean.
