The desk staff at check could have been more welcoming. Didn't explain not one thing of the hotel. It was our first time in Europe, I had to come back down to learn how to turn on light in room. They gave me the pool towel cards. But never told me where to return pool towels. Upon check out they asked me for the towels that I had already turned in to the floor house keeper. They explained the restaurant hours or breakfast. The room TV didn't have the ability to change language to English.

Villa Saint Ange is a gorgeous property with an original 17th century building where we stayed and two newly built, beautiful adjacent buildings. The landscaping, furnishings, and art show great taste, care, and attention to detail. It’s in a quiet area only about 10 minutes walk to the Cours Mirabeau. Breakfast was included for us and very delicious. Room service dining was delicious too. Parking is available underground for a 25 euro fee. This property only has 34 rooms and is very intimate. Good value for 5 stars…

The property was charming, comfortable and very clean. The location was great for walking but terrible for driving. The valet service was inadequate and the directions were terrible. There were also some quirky things about our room, dark steps to the bathroom and the AC doesn’t go above 75 degrees no matter the setting you choose. Our room had a coffee station but no milk and only demitasse cups. Overall the staff was nice but inexperienced for a luxury hotel.

Excellent service and great location

I have stayed at many luxury properties in over 70 countries and this could be one of the most beautiful!! The staff were AMAZING as was the property!!! Will definitely return!

Stayed at this hotel on a one night visit to Marseille, France in July 2026. It was right on the water at the port which was convenient. AC worked great and the breakfast was high quality. The hotel looks like a retro 70s hotel with the furniture and decor in the rooms which was pretty cool. Staff was nice and helpful when needed.
