Excellent location - steps from the waterfront and from restaurants, a 10 minute walk to the waterfront mall. Our room (a suite) was spectacular with ocean views, luxury amenities, large space to hangout. Highly recommended (if pricy).

My friend and I stayed at the Iberostar Miraflores hotel from 10/30 - 11/1. On the second evening of our stay, an employee of the hotel that was at the rooftop pool bar apparently slipped something in our drinks causing us to be severely impaired in broad daylight.  What then transpired is shocking because I was subsequently raped in the rooftop restroom by the hotel employee, but my blurred memory leads me to believe there were two assailants. After the initial attack, I barely made it to my room but was not aware that I was followed by one of my attackers where he once again proceeded to rape me. A few days later, after leaving the hotel, we called the hotel repeatedly to ask for assistance and for access to the surveillance footages and to report the attack on their property. Unfortunately, the hotel chose to ignore me and instructed me to contact law enforcement, which I did and have had to initiate legal actions against the hotel. This has been devastating for my friend and I and if I’m commenting on this now is so that any travelers planning to stay in this hotel needs to be very weary of this establishment and its personnel.

Room 1608 is noisy but comfortable
This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the service is impeccable. They even kept our luggage while we traveled onto another leg of our journey. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. And I love the water bottle refill system in the hallway that saves from using plastic bottles. Brilliant. Our room was 1608 and it’s directly under the restaurant. We heard restaurant noises the entire night until breakfast was being served. Mainly tables and chairs being moved around. We slept with a white noise app, but we were disrupted all night by these sounds. Just a precaution if you stay in room 1608.

Loved this hotel. Great amenities and toiletries. You greeted with champagne on arrival. The customer service is top-tier. The location is great. They provide you with assistants at the beach where chairs and umbrellas are provided. I would definitely stay here again. My hotel room had a panoramic view of the beach. It was absolutely amazing. I was also given great quality flip flops which a Florida Girl loves and I’m still wearing. ❤️

Prices for ancillary items was usuary. water bottles (USD$7 inside vs. US$.50outside). Doorman ordered the wrong taxi despite clear acknowledgment on what was needed. Delayed departure to airport. Got food poisoning from the restaurant
