Staff friendly and cheerful. Rooms clean and spacious. Beds very comfy. Meals good. Only let down was breakfast. Food good but was not replenished quickly enough. Waiting around for various hot item, sausage, bacon etc. Also kept running out of cups.

Basic hotel with very poor breakfast

Stayed for one night with my wife and children. The staff were lovely but were working under pressure. There was only two staff members covering the reception, bar and also serving the food. We had dinner in the bar and the food was very good. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. We had book breakfast on arrival at a cost of almost £40 for the four of us and when we went down at 9am the next morning it was a disaster. There was a buffet breakfast area which was very small with a limited selection, there was no cups available for tea or coffee. No cutlery available. The bread shelves were empty and there was no food. We asked for more food to be brought out but waited almost twenty minutes but there was only small amounts brought out and as there was quite a few people waiting it was consumed immediately. Our children ended up with just cereal but had to share a spoon and my wife and I only got toast and one sausage each. In the whole time we were at breakfast there wasn't even eggs available. Once again there was a shortage of staff there only seemed to be one person who was trying his best but he was expected to serve breakfast and cover the reception desk for people checking out.

Great hotel

Checking in was effortless, room clean and comfortable. Spoke with reception about getting an extra duvet and this was sorted before I finished my drink in the restaurant. Can’t fault the hotel or staff, definitely recommend!

Friendly staff

Staff were friendly and that’s about it’s got going for it! The room was awful, mould on the window sill and curtains, it’s a health hazard! There was also blood on the curtain, it’s disgusting, I wouldn’t recommend

The room smelt on arrival and there was a horrible wet patch inbetween the beds which was most likely urine. The children stepped in it. The bathroom was is desperate need of a refit with a broken sink and black mold in the shower. The sofa bed was the most uncomfortable thing ever, it was clearly faulty and did not lay flat. Could not sleep on it so had to squeeze inbetween the two kids. But my other half had no choice. There were 4 of us, but only 3 towels provided, which was a shock when I was the last one to shower and the other 3 towels has been used and then left on the very dirty floor.

The hotel was fine for the money we paid, it's a shame some rooms face the dual carriageway as you can heqar the lorries passing early morning. In our room 003 the cistern on the toilet seemed to take a long time refilling it's self and like most hotel room no hooks to hang coats / jackets. The breakfast was very good and well organized.

The staff and restaurant were excellent, and the bed was genuinely comfortable. However, the rooms seriously lack soundproofing — it felt like the walls were made of paper. You can hear conversations word for word, and even things you really shouldn’t have to, like people using the toilet. Honestly, that alone makes it hard to recommend. The coffee machine in the room was dusty and didn’t feel clean, which was disappointing. The spa and restaurant/bar are the only things giving this place a “high-end” feel — without them, it wouldn’t live up to what the website suggests. A lovely bed can’t make up for the lack of privacy. Until the soundproofing is sorted, I wouldn’t stay again.
