Having so much space in the rooms for a family stay was a very big plus for us. The room furnishings and decor were unusual, but actually worked really well. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Shame not to have a restauarant on site, but plenty of eating out options close by. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Could be a good idea to create an outdoor "smoking area" away from the steps up to the hotel entrance as having to get us, and our suitcases, past a group of guests in their nightdresses all smoking away didn't really create the best first impression. We had a nice stay and would come back for sure. Thank you very much.

All frills but not good enough
The bath in our room was a jacuzzi bath. It took about 50 mins to fill. Then when the jets were turned on it sprayed out loads of black gunk. When reported to the manager he said it should be fine on the second fill. It did not. We were therefore unable to use the bath at all and wasted 2 hours trying to do so. The heating controls in the room were also broken and the room way too hot for my family of five.

No complaints.
My room was huge with two king size beds and a jacuzzi spa bath. Being so large, the room was not very warm but since I was out much and only in room for bed, the bed was warm & cozy. Lots of hot water. Very good free breakfast. Very central location. Staff friendly & helpful.

Good hotel
Good central hotel in Liverpool, with good facilities and boujee decor. Rooms are spacious, however could pay better attention to the details as shampoo / conditioner as hand wash is not good! Breakfast is good.

Grubby, noisy, sink had no hot water, water pressure was extremely low and took 45 minutes to fill up the hot tub. Toilet handle would do a 180 turn when you flushed it, then you would have to move it back into position again. Felt really unclean. Bathroom was worn. Zero soundproofing, corridor doors slamming etc. Very disappointing as I booked it for my boyfriend’s birthday. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Ok, not more than that
We spent one night before the Liverpool FC match. The room was clean and large, and breakfast was okay (coffee was terrible, though). The only issue we had was a lack of an internet connection due to some problem they had during the weekend. From that expensive hotel, you can absolutely expect to have that issue backed up. Close to Lime Street Station, walking distance from Liverpool one. Poor isolations of sounds and lights from the nearby street.

Unusual hotel
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dixie Dean Hotel. Our room was huge, decor was beautifully unique, beds were very comfortable , tea, coffee etc in room, blackout curtains which was wonderful, room very clean and smelling fresh, bathroom was amazing with large jacuzzi bath tub, all toiletries available. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was lovely and lots of variety. Hotel was within walking distance of town, bars and restaurants. Definitely value for money, would recommend The Dixie Dean 100%. We will definitely be back.

Very nice older building with vintage decor. Room was huge and spacious though a little worn out. Beds were super comfortable. Our only gripe: bathroom mirror was hung so high that you'd need to be 6 feet tall plus to use it comfortably and the lightning around mirror was minimal. Excellent breakfast.

An excellent hotel in a great location. Only 10 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes walk to plenty of bars, pubs, restaurants and nightlife. The hotel also does a very good breakfast.

Absolutely loved our stay. Beds were comfy and staff were super friendly. Close to the train station and close to the city centre. We have booked again already and we will always look to book this when we stay in Liverpool
