The male receptionist was unwelcoming, unhelpful, and obstructive. The lady receptionist was welcoming friendly and helpful. There appeared to be no shops supermarkets or restaurants nearby. Local bus connections to the city centre were good and only cost 1.20€

The room was nice and the accommodation very well located in the centre of Santander. The owner was very helpful, particularly with our bicycle storage. Although the bathroom facilities were shared, they were very clean and well maintained.

The Citrea is a lovely hotel in Santander. A short walk from the Modern Art Museum (not the Botin Centre) and the town hall and the bus station, through the tunnel. Having been to Santander we knew this wasn't far so no issues. The room was cozy, but had plenty of storage cupboards. The air conditioning was absolutely needed in the heat of the summer, would go again just for this. The staff were fantastic, supporting us with every ask and arranged a late checkout on our departure day.
