One of the best experiences we’ve had with our world travels. The property more than met our needs and was centrally located for us to hub and spoke to different destinations during our week long stay. The site is amazing with gorgeous views of the fjord. All the creature comforts were at our disposal making for great morning starts and welcoming finishes to the day. I couldn’t recommend it more as it was perfect for us. We were met promptly at check in and check out by our delightful host. Overall, just a great stay!!

Excellent and beautiful dining room.

Communication with the staff via the Expedia app could have been faster. My request to merge two separate bookings so I could stay in the same room wasn't met, even though I had made the request a week in advance. The quality of service at the reception varied greatly: the lady at check-in upon arrival seemed completely uninterested, whereas Olly (?) apologized the next morning and tried to find a solution. Since I had already checked out of the first booking, it was too late to stay in the same room anymore, but I still appreciated his efforts. As for the rooms: they are clean and well-lit, but it got noisy at night; it’s best to ask for a room on the quieter side (away from the street). It was a bit unpleasant to see dirty white stains on the green decorative throw. If that isn't washed every time, it would be better to leave it out altogether. The hotel Japanese restaurant was extremely convenient. The service and food were excellent, so I ate there three nights in a row. Overall, it was a good stay, but I’m deducting a star due to the check-in experience, the dirty decorative throw, and the lack of soundproofing against outside noise.

Very nice property in excellent location for sightseeing. Room was comfortable and meals - especially breakfast - were good. My only reason for deleting a star was the bathtub shower. There were no hand holds or anti-slip mat in the high sided narrow bathtub. Taking a shower was quite risky
