Mamas by the Sea is the Best B&B ever!!! The owner, Kim, is a wonderful host and makes everyone feel happy and comfortable. The house is lovely, the breakfast, tasty, and the overall vibe, one of Joy. I more than Highly recommend Mamas by the Sea.

The staff were friendly and helpful upon check in. Our room was bright, clean, spacious and comfortable, with amenities including fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a nightlight in the bathroom (I have often wondered why hotels don’t do this as standard practice). Despite checking out at 5:00am and breakfast not being available until 7:00am, we were offered (and accepted) breakfast to go before we left. We were only there 12 hours, but we would highly recommend this location.

Staff members were nice and helpful. There was a pancake machine i had never seen before. They showed me how. Also, I had trouble with TV unsure how to get closed captions on. They came in and got it to work. Friendly and happy place.

Great hotel! Very friendly staff. Rooms were super clean and the bathroom was perfect. I stayed for my friend’s wedding and there was tons of space and mirrors with great lighting to get ready. The continental breakfast was great (some gluten free cereal options as well, which was great for me because I’m a celiac). The best part of this hotel was the pool with the waterslide. Super fun and a great way to unwind between setting up for a wedding!

The staff on site were pleasant. When I checked in there were 4 people outside trying to gain entrance and could not remember the access code and did not have their phone with them. The number they all believed they had been provided did not work on the key pad.My access code that had been provided did not work either so I called the number provided and though they gave me the access code number to get us all in the building there was a lot of sighing and and impatience on the other end. It was not a great welcome to the site. The room was clean and comfortable though it was quite small. The air conditioner did not seem to work and as the room was on the top floor it was very hot. The communal kitchenette was nice though it was always in use so no opportunity to make use of it.

This hotel has lots of nice, family-friendly amenities (even a water slide at the pool!). Rooms are comfortable but could use better blackout shades. Breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast fare (in other words, not great), although the pancake machine brings it up a notch. Most importantly, the hotel is an easy drive to the CAT ferry to Bar Harbor, which I assume is the draw for many/most visitors.
