Reasonably well appointed hotel close to the Piazza del Duomo. Quite noisy with traffic and trams passing by. The standout feature is the rooftop bar and restaurant - nice views, good cocktails, food and wine. Atmosphere ruined by relentless zombie boom boom music. Organisation of course Italian so don’t be surprised when the restaurant has no record of the reservation you went there in person to make 4 hours earlier. As happened to me.

Stayed in the room facing the main street and could hear trams running until midnight. Smoke detector in the room flashing green light disturbed sleep as well. Breakfast was minimum standard and the worst part was my latte which caused me vomiting and diarrhoea on the way to the station. We only managed to get on the train one minute before departing. The staff served my coffee also had terrible smell!

Very Disappointing Stay – Poor Service for a 4-Star Hotel Our experience at Hotel Dei Cavalieri Milano Duomo was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We arrived early and were told by reception that our room was not ready. Fair enough, we thought. We came back at 4:30 pm and were told again that the room still wasn’t ready. Eventually, reception allocated us two rooms (520 and 502), but what a shambles. These were supposed to be non-smoking rooms, yet the toilet area had a strong smell of stale cigar smoke, which lingered heavily. My son began to have difficulty breathing because of the odour, so I immediately raised the issue with reception. The staff member, Mia, assured us it would be dealt with while we went out. However, when we returned at 8:30 pm, Mia seemed surprised to see us and admitted they had completely forgotten to clean or address the problem. I was astonished, we had walked out in front of her after reporting the issue! This is not the standard one would expect from any hotel, let alone a supposed 4 star property. The service was poor, the organisation appalling, and there was a complete lack of care for guests’ comfort and wellbeing. Families with children, in particular, should avoid this hotel, you will be far better off at a decent bed and breakfast. I travel a lot for both business and pleasure, and while the location may be central, I will definitely not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is in a great spot, just a quick 10-minute walk to the Duomo Cathedral. It’s not the newest place, but the cleaning staff really do a great job keeping things tidy. The best part has to be the breakfast, it’s amazing! The service in the breakfast area is super friendly, and I was totally surprised to find latte art at the buffet.
