The property is literally a 2 minute walk to the Milan Duomo and museums. Its no doubt a convenient spot, the metro is approximately a 3 minutes walk as well as the tour guide buses. But this isnt really reflected in the description when you go to book Hotel Rio, so this needs to be emphasised in the description. Breakfast was delicious and a small range of items but not bad for a city hotel at a nominal price and staff were extremely helpful. My only criticism was that hotel is a little outdated as well as a dark interior but the rooms were comfy. As well as this there is no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms.i had to go across the road and get coffee if i wanted it.overall it was a good place to stay and i felt really safe.

Was told a very city tax had to be paid till I presented my Expedia receipt showing I owed 14 dollars. Single room like small as expected but breakfast not very good. Coffee was excellent.

Stayed at hotel Rio for couple nights . The location is superb. However the overall hotel itself is run down. The bathroom smelt like mould, every time the shower was used the water would spill out onto the bathroom floor. The air con was running but didn’t do much to cool the room. It is over priced for what you get.
