Homeless people camped by the back door blocking the entrance. Rude staff. Charged me an extra $100 without informing me. Half the things in the room were broken. Poor water pressure in the shower. Almost hit a homeless guy who ran in front of my car in the parking lot trying to stop me. Dirty hotel smelled horrible. Paid for 2 days could only stay 1 and left
Seemed good at first but the hotel seemed very old and run down. We were greeted by people smoking marijuana right next to the back door, which for 12 feet is enclosed. They didn't care kids were around. Trash all over outside. toilet base in room is broken, wobbles when you sit. Huge gap under door was covered with a thick rubber strip that was ripped off half the door. Lighting was great though but that's all that was good. At 3AM he woke up to a woman violently screaming threats into a phone. we thought it was outside our window in the parking lot but it was actually the room next to us. we called the front desk and what sounded like a very old man said he'd take care of it. I was listening in our door as the woman continued to threaten somebody's life over the phone. my girlfriend was terrified. I haven't heard someone else in the hallway say that he called the police. the manager told me not to call the police and he didn't even knock on the woman's door. I complained to hotels.com chat service and they called the hotel demanding a refund for me. they obliged and at 4:00 in the morning they banged on my door. they didn't kick the woman out next to me but they kicked us out saying that they have issued a refund but we have to leave immediately. what the hell? together are things in left and it looks like they didn't issue us any refund at all and still have the deposit. on the way out, more people smoking pot.
it was great.Jonny (Donny?) at the front desk was great. everything was clean the new and nothing was damaged. this was an unexpected stay after we canceled our other hotel for a safety concern asked to leave. wow. they were gracious here at this hotel letting us check in a bit early without even explaining my circumstances as to why. we plan on staying in hotels close to events to avoid parking fees and traffic so we plan on staying at this hotel again for the next couple of weekends. all of it was because of the hospitality, the cleanliness of the hotel, space, comfortable bed and pillows, the towels were great and we didn't run out of hot water in 5 minutes like the other hotel. one important thing is the lighting in the bathroom. so many hotels don't have this and you can't see what you're doing to get ready. there's lamps all over the room usually that nobody uses but nothing in the bathrooms yet this hotel has figured it out. congratulations and I appreciate this more than anything. I only complaint is the coffee, it was way too strong even for me who bruise it with three times as much coffee grounds. something was off a bit 😆 it doesn't matter because there are so many good places for breakfast right near the hotel I don't really care about a continental breakfast or coffee. we're running a bit late on checkout, we were graciously given another half hour without anyone checking up on us. cant add any photos, theres something wrong with the web page. roomy, comfy. thx!
It was rough staying here.
I believe someone died in the first room we checked into. I think they’d passed away after a long period of travel in which they had been unable to change their socks, resulting in the fusion of flesh and fabric. As the body deteriorated and the feet sweltered the cleaning staff quietly respected the posted request not to disturb. Days passed. The once firm flesh loosened and sagged, something trickled from the corners. At last someone breached the door. The swirl of dust and air obscured a faded figure moving through a sunbeam.
But hotel management needed to fill the beds. They instructed front desk staff to assign guests to 149 first, but not to question if guests requested a change. Thank god for that.
We arrived around one in the morning after a long day, and were unprepared for the stench of death and defeat that would greet us in the room. It was as though a hand raised out of the bed reaching for our throats. Tired as we were, we considered accepting this sad state of affairs as our lot, but something in the stench prevented us. Reeling from the room, we stumbled to the front desk and requested a change of rooms. The next room was pretty dirty but at least didn’t seem to be a death chamber.
When I went to check out in the morning i witnessed the front desk staff assign some sad sack to room 149 and i’m ashamed to say i said nothing. If i dare speak now I’d say pay a little more not to stay in this hellscape. Thanks though!
I had a great three day stay at the Econo Lodge and I loved it. You can’t ask for much more for the price. I will be back soon. Staff is very friendly, the halls and rooms are clean, and it is very quiet at night, even on the weekends.
