Definitely had higher expectations for this hotel. Really low quality place. Convenient to FiServe and downtown. The double bed room I booked was not available because I went through Expedia so had to get a cot for a 6’3 teenager. Luckily he is easy going. Apparantly booking through a third party app gives you lower status. We were comp’ed Starbucks and breakfast but the hotel was so insanely busy for a nearby tourney the lines were way too long… The elevators were also not all working the weekend of a busy sports tourney so there were line ups and fights to get on the only one or two working elevators…at one point took over 15 minutes to get an elevator. There are def better hotels in the area. And at a little extra cost it is well worth the money to avoid.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency in Milwaukee. The location is very central to everything for sports or business trips. The room was clean, beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom had hot water with very good water pressure. The TV had a lot of stations. We did notice that the elevators needed to be vacuumed and the doors and door knobs for the parking garage were pretty beat up and dirty. We also noticed that our room's furniture was sort of banged up, though it was clean. The building is overall in good shape, but the rooms need new furniture and finishings. I love the '80s styles and vibes of this building. The glass-view elevators are still as cool as they probably were in the '80s. I love the circular ballroom at the top of the building - it's very '80s futuristic. Plus, this is a historically important site where an assassin tried to kill Pres. Theodore Roosevelt in 1912. The architecture and the historical significance of this building really made me rate it 5 stars instead of 4 stars.

Not so good

Late check in; room was booked as two bed; at check in told reservation was changed to King bed; I did not make that change; no two bed rooms available; we took the king and made due; room was sprayed with some type of deodorizer when we got to room - so strong it made you cough; this was not a good experience at all.
