It did the job. I was given a room on the second floor above an area with lots of activity, and next to the gym. The walls and floors are super thin and I was barely able to sleep both nights. They siphon everything (wifi, food, coffee) off the hotel across the street which is probably a better place to stay.

My main complaint is that it seemed someone smoked in their room and when I checked in, the entire floor reeked of smoke. The smell permeated to my room and it was just really bad. The following morning the smell was still heavily present and I decided to cut my 2 night stay short. To the staff credit, by the afternoon the smell of smoke was less overwhelming but at that time I had found a way better option in downtown. I recognize it is not the staff fault. I also get that did isn’t a luxury hotel, though it was fairly overpriced for what it offered. It just made the little time I spent there rather uncomfortable.

Extra room charges

It was a short stay. We checked in about 10pm and checked out at 10:30. Upon returning home we noticed we were charged another $67 (which was deducted at 2:30 am, well after we were sleeping).This charge was on top of the room price and the $50 security deposit. I was never informed of any extra charges beyond the room and security deposit. Also, upon check-in the lady at the desk said that there were no available rooms at the time I reserved the room. The lady was nice, but it took her a while to find my reservation, which created a bit of anxiety.

The room was nice, breakfast good. The area does not seem safe. A homeless, aggressive person followed me into the lobby. The desk attendant told him to go away, but I feel could have perhaps intervened more or there should be a buzz in situation or only allowed in with room key.

The room had a strange damp smell to it and the beds were very creaky. Overall the room was clean, shower was hot and had good water pressure. Some of the staff was rather rude but nothing outrageous.

Was so so. Prices were super expensive for what they offer. I booked a suite w pull out couch for the 2 of us. They didn’t even provide bedding for the pull out couch and no pillows. All they did was bring up a blanket for it and said they can’t do anything. Poor service and stay.
