We were surprised our room was not ready over an hour after check-in, though it was nice to be offered a complimentary drink at check/in while we waited. The well-meaning valets misplaced our car keys resulting in us barely making our dinner reservation. It was unclear if the hotel was short staffed or standards are slipping. It’s a beautiful historic hotel, but the experience did not match the price tag of the room. We have stayed at the hotel many times but this was experience didn’t live up to the past. Orlando, our server at breakfast in the cafe was an absolute delight, and the food & coffee was delicious.

Everything was perfectly impeccably organized! The art was spectacular and the lobby takes you to another space and time! The service was excellent! The room was very clean! Valet was a breeze! Love the hotel location, architecture, decor, and wonderful staff. However, our floor was noisy with doors opened and shut constantly in the hallway and people talking in the hall and next door during late night hours. People can access hotel elevator’s & guest rooms by entering the parking garage from floor 2-6 and “catch a ride” to the higher floors without having to pass through the lobby/reception area , which may post security concerns.

Absolutely beautiful hotel!! Cesar at the lobby bar was the best. Our room was beautiful. The Blu bar had such an amazing view from the 23rd floor. All around best place in Milwaukee. Can’t wait to go back.
