I was in Cologne for a 5 night stay with the goal of seeing the city and visiting my German relatives. This hotel was perfectly located and central, my room was comfortable with good air-conditioning and very clean. I was traveling alone and had no concerns for safety and many places to eat were just steps away from the hotel. I had the breakfast one morning - and the service was excellent - the choices for the buffet were typical and enough for me. Although my room window faced the Alter Markt - I had no issue with noise - very well insulated. The front desk staff was helpful and gracious - calling a cab, answering questions, and even helping me to mail a package!

Great location. Staff was helpful and friendly. And they have air conditioning which is vital in the summer.

A charming older property located steps from the Rhine, this hotel was a grandson’s favorite. Within walking distance of the cathedral, the hotel offered the most comfortable beds of our trip. Parking is limited, but free on the street overnight. Breakfast was standard European fare served in a large, well light room. The only negative was accessibility. There is an elevator, but it does not reach the lobby nor breakfast areas.

Excellent German style sauna. Handy location for the gay scene.
