Terrible wifi on one end of the property. The staff moved us to another room where it was much better, but if they're fully booked you'll be out of luck. Good vibe and fun bar with cheap food/drinks! Area around it is absolutely not walkable - you have to walk very far just to get to an intersection to get across the street.

Overall, great stay
The GulfCoast Inn, overall, was a great stay. The room was decent, the pool area was nice even with a bar and grill. The staff were very friendly. My 4 star review is because I did see roaches on multiple nights during my stay. There were also some flies in the bathroom that gathered around the vent. I still felt comfortable, but I know others may not be as okay with something like that. I simply just grabbed them with toilet paper and removed them. I’m not sure if other rooms experienced that, but with the few that I saw, there has got be other rooms with them as well.

The bartenders at Harold’s and Tami at Vesuvio’s are awesome! Good onsite food options too! Can get a little loud at night but for the price you pay to stay very good value in general - great location central to everything

The room was OK. It was very clean, but the place is very dated and could use a facelift. The bed was OK but not great and pillows were squishy. However the Tiki bar is lots of fun and I had a delicious Mahi Mahi sandwich. The staff is excellent and very friendly. The pool is nice and I really enjoyed sitting in the sun and swimming. Breakfast was kinda lame. I just had toast and coffee.

Cockroaches and loud family until midnight at pool
We stayed at the Gulf Cost Inn the week of Thanksgiving 2024 for 3 nights. During this time we encountered 4 huge cockroaches in our first room. We killed all of them and reported it to the front desk and they immediately offered a different room. We live in Florida so we know that this can happen in the best of homes, but we have only averaged 2 a year. Most of the problem is probably the gaps in the bottom and sides of the doors in both room that allow these bugs and probably small rodents into the room. I am not kidding about the gaps in the door frames. Now, I would have expected them to upgrade us or even give us a comparable room. Understand, this was still morning and I offered to wait until later in the day when we returned from the beach to change rooms, but they called me and wanted me to change immediately. We were given a room that was not upgraded and was not comparable to the room we had. I was tired and thought we just needed to settle in and accept this. Big mistake. People were outside our room, at the pool area, until midnight. Loud talking, children playing and screaming, and no control from the motel. We go to Naples often as we still have friends in Naples and we usually like to stay at one of the chains but thought maybe we should start supporting family run businesses. We don’t think that way anymore even though: Really nice people Exceptional continental breakfast host. She was one of the best I’ve ever had take care of me

Was greeted quickly and friendly when checking in . Hotel is super cute and the room is perfect. We have a small kitchen area that’s perfect for late night snacks . We tried Harold’s place restaurant poolside for dinner which was wonderful.

The location was good but the stay was NOT so pleasant, the bed bases rattled every time the person lying down moved so neither my parents nor I could not spend good the only good night there. I told that to the person at the time of departure , I hope they have fixed the beds, otherwise it was fine.
