The room is spacious and very clean. The bathroom is clean as well, and the water pressure is excellent. The front desk staff is very friendly. Our computer mouse stopped working, and the gentleman at the front desk kindly lent us one. It was a big help because we needed to work at the hotel. The lady working at breakfast was also very nice and friendly. We had such a pleasant stay!

We stay in approximately 50-60 hotels per year, and this is the first time that I have ever had an experience such as this. My wife, who is a therapist, and I arrived late in the afternoon. The first thing that greeted me was a woman with a form that had a bunch of conditions that we had to sign, agreeing to the conditions. Also if we were in default, the penalty would be $ 200.00. Now my wife, the therapist, also travels with a Bedlington Terrier who is a certified therapy dog and can be found in Montreal hospitals and even at the Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport. However, this was all lost on the receptionist, who had a strict no-dog policy or a $200.00 penalty. Needless to say, we left and found a perfect hotel that accommodated all three of us....

The rooms indoors were very clean. There was a potentially nice outdoor deck (to sit) but it was not well cared for with peeling paint, torn chairs, some rotting wood, and vines growing over the surface. Reception was very pleasant & helpful and breakfast did not offer hot items but had adequate cold choices. Overall the stay was comfortable.

Good for an overnight stay. Free breakfast ok nothing special. Right in the centre of St John. Comfortable bed. Staff were helpful.
