Do not book here, I’m warning you. They’ll overbook and give your room to someone else. Literal scam. I even messaged them to tell them my arrival time and they still had the nerve to say they “thought I wasn’t gonna show up”. I told them to check expedia, thay they had literally confirmed the check-in. They said “oh we don’t check expedia’s messages, they’re just automate”. That sounds like THEIR problem, not mine. They didn’t have any extra rooms and I had to go find another hotel in the middle of the night. Staff at reception was useless and despite me trying to reach out through several mediums they are still refusing to give me a refund. Besides there’s no AC, and if you check the reviews online a lot of people are even saying there’s cockroaches.

This historic hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Location is fantastic. Just a few blocks from the Cathedral and many restaurants and local shopping. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The Included. Breakfast was delicious, made to order fresh daily. Our absolute favorite part was rooftop restaurant which comes with a welcome cocktail. This is the very best place to stay in Mexico City!

Hotel Principal has a fantastic location, right in the heart of the historic center of Mexico City. In addition to being close to various attractions like museums or restaurants, travelers have easy access to public transport, drugstores, and convenience stores. I traveled with my family, and we were given a spacious room equipped with air conditioning and a double sink, which was especially helpful since we have kids. The hotel also offers breakfast in their restaurant, which features a rooftop garden with a great view! The staff was always attentive and friendly. The only downside for us was that our room faced the street, which made it a bit noisy at night. However, we highly recommend Hotel Principal and would gladly return. Thank you, Hotel Principal!
