Staff/service great;elevators need maintenance
Everything is very clean & comfortable. Breakfast & the evening reception have great food, & the 3 per person dollar bar drinks option is great. There are free fountain soft drinks & coffee bar available all day, & they have fresh free popcorn from 4-8pm daily. The rooms are fully soundproof. Beds are very comfortable. The staff is welcoming & do everything in their power to make your stay pleasant. We stayed during the Labor Day weekend when the hotel was fully booked, but nothing felt crowded or short-changed. The only thing that prevented me from giving a complete 5 star rating was that the elevators did not working properly during our stay. 7 of us were stuck for over 20 minutes in the elevator located in the middle of the hotel. Maintenance had to force the doors open with a 3 foot drop to get down to the 4th floor. As I have bad ankles & a bad back, I had to wait until almost last to be helped to sit at the edge of the elevator floor, then lifted down to the 4th floor-scary! The next morning when we left our room to check out, both elevators were out of service. We have to drag our luggage & other belongings from the 6th floor to the lobby. Fortunately, 1 of the staff came to the 4th floor to carry part of my luggage down to the main floor. The lady at reception already had my info from the previous day’s issue. She apologized profusely & said she would have corporate send me 2 free nights compensation. I booked thru a 3rd party so she had no way to do a direct refund.
