We have never stayed at Capt Hirams before but always wanted to and it did not disappoint. The staff was helpful. The location can't be beat. The proximity to water, restaurants (multiple up and down the river) was perfect. I stayed over 4th of July with my teen son and it was a great family friendly option. The pool is small but very clean. Our room hadn't been vacuumed or our side tables cleaned when we arrived but the staff took care of it right away the next morning. Be aware, if you are flying in late, let them know or they do close out your reservation as a no show. We called and the staff explained and were extremely helpful throughout our stay. I will be staying here again!

Everything in the property was great except we had some small roaches in our room, staff did act accordingly and quick to get the issue resolved. Will come back for our yearly retreat.

The room was much bigger than I was anticipating. There were 2 full bathroom. The balcony wrapped from the master bedroom to the living room. Our room was at an angle to the ocean which was perfect. It gave us a reprieve from the sun during the day. The pool was lovely. We got to witness two newborn sea turtle make it to the ocean. We talked with many longtime Turtle Reef go-ers. Everyone was nice and welcoming. The only slight issue we had was trying to key into our room. The cards took a long time to work.
