Helpful staff and amazing location

I was impressed by the extra mile all the staff went to make us feel welcome and comfortable, from offering to let us charge our EV using their AC charger by the office to letting us store our bikes in their shed, I felt they went out of their way to be hospitable. Location cannot be beat; 1 min walk to the beach and lake. The two bedroom layout worked well for us compared to traditional two beds in hotels. I would definitely stay at Sunny Beach Motel again!

It was next to Skaha Lake Park. There were a lot of amenities at the lake. We enjoyed walking in the park with our dog daily. The locals and visitors were friendly. The Okanagan Lake side was a few minutes drive only so, we enjoyed both lakes. The motel room was just plain and basic which was just a place to sleep and rest anyway. The people who were staying there were friendly, too. We will come back for sure.

Overall enjoyed our stay. Nice room with kitchen. We had two rooms connected through a common door. Neat and clean setting. Great location. Few km away from major shopping center. Friendly staff. Two issues: 1) The overhead kitchen exhaust fan not working. Called support and they could not fixed. Had problem cooking food. 2) The housekeeping was not great. They came in our absence picked up garbage without realising that there were soiled undergarments in one of the garbage. My son had put his soiled clothes on by mistake . Further, the housekeeper didn't do anything like changing bedsheet or mopping the floor . Please convey this to the property manager. Other than the above hiccups, we enjoyed our stay at the motel

The property wasn’t necessarily unclean but it is really beat up. It needs to be updated. There are different levels of flooring that are a tripping hazard. The electrical is unsafe where there are multiple appliances plugged in. There was no heat and it was 8 degrees C overnight. We had brought our own extra blanket and it was still cold. The fridge was noisy and made squealing noises. It is close to the park and beach which was nice. I would not stay here again.
