No pool to relax in. Had to call reception to change pillow and bed cover as it looked stained - thought that was blood. Fridge was not clean on the inside

Disappointed

I dont typically leave reviews but we feel a bit defeated. We were given a room on the second floor even though they knew we had dogs. When we asked to extend our stay (to explore more of the north island) they asked why we were on the second floor, and dogs are only allowed on the first floor. So we moved rooms without any fuss. The room we were moved to had a strong smell of wet dog, the a/c unit was extremely loud and unusable. The TV was crackly and terrible (not a deal breaker for us but maybe for some) There was a family on the first floor who were going in and out of rooms all night for the last two nights we were there. Non stop doors slamming, we had zero sleep. When we told the front desk they said sorry there is nothing they can do.

We thought that the location was good. Comfy beds. Black around bottom edges of shower need a good clean and the heater was noisy when it was turned on. Our check in was fantastic. The First Nation lady at the front desk was so very friendly and helpful. A completely different experience at check out. A different lady. Not one word came out her. Just handed me the receipt and went about her business. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

Coffee maker was not plugged in I had to pull extension over with my wife’s Cain to plug in / no hair dryer in room had to go t main desk to get one / no ice bucket in room had to get from front desk / when staff clean room all things s/b checked
