Customer service would have been nice
Due to weather our boat out of the harbor had to turn back. Luckily the hotel had several openings. However, we walked in about 2:15 and the front desk told us check in was at 3pm. Several of us were absolutely soaked from the storm. I find it unlikely that housekeeping cleaned the 4 rooms while we waited. It would have been good customer service to try to check us in early (only 45 min) if the rooms were available. Instead we we sat soaked in the lobby. We also asked for the WiFi password and were told. That information is in your room.

Overall real nice spot....but internet very spotty and poor signal quality. Also as someone who stayed at literally hundreds of hotels during my work career this was the first place that was stringent, non negotiable about no check in prior to 3pm.....and nowhere to leave luggage secure until that time...

Nobody cared
when we went into our room it was unoccupiable. we asked for a better room and all they offered was a $100 more expensive room that offered a laminate flooring so we could see if anything moved. we talked about it with locals and they said that the owners had lost interest in the building years ago and they can't get anyone to work there and if anybody does join only lasts for a week. The supervisor who had no empathy turns out to have worked there 10 years so that explains a lot. The night front desk worker told me that he was on his way out shortly and was sorry for the way the his supervisor deals with all situations. Don't say you weren't warned.

When hotel guest are scheduled to arrive the heat should be turn on prior to the guests arrival . It took 4 - 5 hours to warm up the rooms . Even though the Hotel was only less than 1/4 capacity, the view was not good . They could have easily provided rooms with a better view. The listing on Expedia indicated buffet breakfast yet the day of arrival dining had closed for the season. I was not notified and yet flyer’s were still in our rooms and on elevator door providing hours of morning breakfast . When I approached front staff supervisor she was argumentative when approached about breakfast and the price I was quoted on the Expedia site . If you like HARD beds this is the place for you! The carpets in our two rooms were very dirty and stained as well . Coming from the East of Canada the Westerner hospitality at this location was unacceptable by any standard !

I'm not sure why this is called a "resort". Very limited facilities. The restaurant food was eatable and thats all. Carpets in the room had stains. Room was as simple as it comes. Breakfast was basic. Staff were friendly enough to get a pass. Not impressive for the almost $600 I paid for two nights
