The Majestic Plaza nearly lives up to its name, offering rooms of decadent spaciousness where one can actually breathe. The beds prove assertively comfortable, and the profound silence makes sleep feel like a transgressive luxury.
The location exists in curious limbo—central enough to avoid exile, yet removed from the medieval spectacle.
It's in the public spaces where aspirations falter. The lobby makes tentative gestures toward opulence, while certain staff seem ambivalent about the "majestic" portion of their employer's promise. Breakfast unfolds in a room so devoid of character that one wonders if neutrality was the design brief.
The Majestic isn't trying to be Prague's coolest address—and therein lies its charm. It focuses on fundamentals: space, comfort, and quietude. If only they could extend that confidence to their public spaces.
