Pet friendly and pet fee reasonably priced. Great restaurant within walking distance to motel n the complimentary discount at restaurant is a nice touch. Room was clean, well stocked for coffee, nice to have the kitchenette especially if staying more thsn overnight

We needed 2 rooms, last minute, and one needed to be pet friendly which wasn't showing as available via Expedia. I called the motel to see if they had any pet friendly room available that just hadn't been allotted to Expedia's list of available rooms for that property. A very nice and friendly lady on the reception desk said that, yes, they did have one pet friendly "Standard Queen" available, and the total price (after taxes and their $15 one night's pet fee) was $155! Unfortunately we really needed the room because the place we were meant to be staying downtown (and had booked well in advance) was located right next door to a huge/active property fire! So, I booked one pet friendly room over the phone and then booked an additional "Standard Queen" through Expedia for $113 after taxes. The pet friendly room was very basic and definitely not worth anywhere near $155/night. Also, while most of it was very clean (all the important bits, like bed/sheets and the bathroom, thankfully) the flooring was very grubby and gritty, as though housekeeping had missed mopping or even vacuuming it between guests.

A sign was posted in the door that said to be patient as the person was away from the desk, though the staff member was sitting there. There was no greeting, I provided my name and he demanded ID and credit card, which you normally present. Then he told me they don’t accept the type of credit card I had and that without another credit card we would have to go somewhere else. Thankfully we did have another credit card. The staff continued to be rude and when asked simple questions he snapped at us. I have stayed here many times before and have never had a problem but will never come back here again. The room wasn’t the cleanest, there was no body wash in the dispenser in the bathroom and no Kleenex though I would be hesitant to touch the dispenser because it’s covered in spots.

I understand there are some rules to staying at this hotel, however it would have been nice for staff up front to be understanding of the situation and go an extra-mile to have a satisfied customer.

Just booked for a place to crash in the middle of a long road trip, as I have a few times before. Checked in at 12am and were outta there again by 9. Staff were super accommodating to the late check in, so friendly and polite. Rooms were nice and clean. Would, and probably will, stay again

There were very few options in town available when we booked. The Carmel inn had the friendliest service at both check in and check out. The rooms were cleaner that I anticipated they would be. The downside was the bed that I thought was a queen was actually a double. Life goes on.
