As previews indicate, area outside suggest a rundown old motel, but the room is excellent, although no ac. I arrived late and the guy at front was not helpful about directing me about what was open; I had to rely on staff at other hotels to figure that out. Property is about 20 minute walk from best restaurants and tourist area.

The front desk staff wasn’t the most friendly and helpful. The cleaners were very helpful though. My original room fan wasn’t working , no light bulbs in the any of the lamps and no shower caution. Called the front desk and they had me to move to another room.

A very convenient place to stay but really needs some TLC. It is an older facility and some things were not working (toilet, lights, bathroom fan, water pressure in bathroom sink) The continental breakfast was very good! (Much better than some more expensive hotels in the big city) The bed was comfortable, bedding was clean. The room itself was clean. Staff were helpful and efficient.

There was nothing wrong with the inn per se, except for a constant heat that was everywhere in the hotel. Hallways and especially the room of which we could not open a window at all. There was A/C unit connected, which provided some cooling. But it felt like the heat was constantly on and needed the AC unit to regulate against it. It had a bad smell, from the old carpet, bed sheets and walls. The worst part was the continental breakfast which had the most BARE minimum of items to qualify as one. Toast, apple and bananas, waffle machine and that was it. It felt like an AA meeting in a basement, but I’ve seen AA meetings with a better spread of food options. The decor was beautiful with a model ship and the mural of the whale outside. But we personally wanted to spent as little time in our room as possible because of those the issues.

Lots of history in this place.

Manager (evening staff) was very kind and helpful. The building has seen a lot of action over the years yet our room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

portable internal air condition set in room, large tube through window, no hair dryer, no kleenex, lack of basics, fire alarm kept going off when opened bathroom door after shower and were told it happens often, no parking when we arrived, difficult to check in with one space on street, building outside not clean

The morning breakfast was laid out very nicely, clean, warm staff. The room was not good, window large crack right across the one side, you could even feel the crack from the inside, the fan that was hanging from the wall was filthy, didnt want to turn it on to have the dirt fly off. When i told the night (man) reception about the broken window and if he knew about it he said he did, then said nothing , i couldnt believe they would give us a room like that Y
Crack right across window, when touched you could feel the cracked edge. The fan was filthy didn't want to turn it on it faced the beds in the room. Hallway fans just as dirty. Old run down building filthy on the outer side of building
