Treetop by Eight Continents Zanzibar exceeded all our expectations. It is an excellent choice for solo travellers, couples and families, and in my opinion, this resort is seriously underrated. From the moment we stepped onto the hotel premises, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Everyone was friendly, kind and attentive throughout our stay. A special thank you to Ally, who helped my wife organise a beautiful surprise dinner for us by the beach. It was an unforgettable experience and showed just how far the staff are willing to go to make their guests feel special. The entire hotel was extremely clean and well maintained, and the food was absolutely amazing. The resort is also very family-friendly, with a dedicated kids’ zone to keep children entertained while parents relax and enjoy their holiday. The prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality of the accommodation, service and overall experience. The photographs online do not do this place justice at all. Seeing the hotel in person was mind-blowing—it was even more beautiful and impressive than the pictures suggested. Treetop by Eight Continents Zanzibar truly deserves a five-star rating. We had an incredible stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar.

Place is clean but really basic and over priced. For 500$ a night you would expect absolute luxury but was really disappointed. The staff are really nice and friendly which was the only positive from the huge price paid.

Fabulous small resort. Accommodation was absolutely gorgeous and had everything you would need. Food and service was amazing Definitely somewhere to go for a totally relaxing holiday

We had a lovely stay at the Baraza Resort. Although the beach, villa and food were top notch, it is the staff that deserve six stars! The entire staff are so wonderful and cater to your every need. This was the perfect stop after 8 days of Safari before our long journey home. I can’t recommend the hotel more highly. We also enjoyed the spa which was fabulous.

My wife and I found a little bit of paradise at Royal Mandarin Resort! Very very nice property. We booked this room for five nights following our Serengeti Safari in the hope of some beach relaxation. We got that and so much more!

I will keep this hotel in my worst list hotels which I visited in my life
