Avoid the "garden" floor rooms.

We stayed here last year, in an excellent king room (was very comfortable and why we re-booked this year). This year, we were put in a "garden" room a/k/a the basement. The room was dark, as the only window in the room faced the pool area - standing at this window we were literally looking UP at poolside furniture. The bathroom had a jetted tub that could not be turned on and the room definitely needed better ventilation. Every single time rooms above this one flushed or otherwise used water, we could hear the water draining loudly through the walls. Would not book again unless guaranteed in writing that my room would not be in the basement.

It was easy to find which was appreciated because it was the end of a very long day of driving. We took a quick refreshing dip in the pool before dinner. Breakfast in the morning was basic free hotel fare but good. The cons were that the ice maker didn’t work (although the staff did get some for us). Also no towels at the pool. Room towels very thin. When showering the bathroom was flooded with water. We used the towels to soak up the water. Shower curtains didn’t do their job.

A refreshing stop!!

I am so glad we booked here!! It was my two daughters and their best friend (ages11,13,14). I felt very safe and was happy to see a beautiful park across the street. Inside the lobby was a Creamery ice cream place that had delicious flavors. We met the owner of the hotel as he was working hard to paint the area of the pool( which was heated) it was a nice stop for us as we were on our way from California to Maryland. The people were kind the renovations to the hotel was great. My favorite part was how comfortable the beds were! I would stay here again!
