Terrible stay. Avoid.

They say they have room service from their restaurant but the person who takes the orders is never there. We got locked out of our hotel room I. The middle of the night and had to wait an hour and a half in their break room so that the manager could show up with the fire key because no one on site knew that it existed. The WiFi never worked and the hot tub had no functioning jets. They have firepita you can use but they are communal so random strangers will just show up and join your party. It was the single worst hotel experience of my life. I went there for a romantic getaway with my girlfriend and we had so many problems with hote that we had no fun. Ended up fighting as a result and this fing place has probably cost me my relationship. I’m never coming here again and I curse the owners of this terrible place for all time

My stay at cavalier was good not what I expected. They said I was gonna get a complimentary bottle of wine and we didn’t get anything and the description was not accurate I was hoping it to be a better place but overall had a good time.

Staff was amazing, very friendly, all departments were great!!! Ordered room service as there are not many options around, food was pretty terrible, couldn’t even eat it. Started oceanfront, View from room patio was great. Rooms were very outdated, dark, and in need of major renovations.

We love this hotel. It’s so close to the ocean and so relaxing to sit on the balcony and listen to the waves and the birds. The restaurant food is delicious and there are lots of places to explore nearby.

Normally I enjoy the city life, but Cavalier delivered on a getaway that was fitting for the ocean side keeping in the same theme as Hearst Castle. Looking forward to the next time we’re there!

Beautiful location! Most staff A+ customer service. Bathtub needs slip proof protection. What was there is worn off. Pet friendly though not at the restaurant. Loss of customers with lack of pet friendly area to eat aside from 2 picnic tables that do not have heaters or protection from the elements. Great night time firepits. Enjoyed our stay and will return.
