This was our first time staying at the Cavalier. We had an ocean front room with an amazing view! The staff were friendly at both the hotel and restaurant. Very pet friendly which is one of the reasons why we stayed. The room had everything you needed and was presented well. Close to both Cambria and the castle. Will definitely be staying there again.

We enjoyed our stay, however, they do NOT service the room unless you ask 24hrs in advance. Because it’s on the ocean the humidity is high so the towels do not dry all the way. They do not replenish the coffee or anything else.

The floor in the room looked filthy. The carpet was badly stained. We stayed on first floor and since there is no air conditioning we had to leave the window open. At night, the patrons above us partied all night and into the morning we could hear them vomiting on the deck above us.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were a bit dated and no air or heater except for wood burning stove and ceiling fan. No screen on the sliding glass door. Room smelled like a campfire and carpeting felt damp. Beds were not comfortable. Grounds were very nice and clean. Probably would not stay there again.

Ocean waves crashing outside our open balcony door after a lovely in room dinner was wonderful. Great breakfast and ocean view the next morning was a beautiful way to begin our day.
