Great place for a last minute weekend getaway; The staff had good suggestions to spend time as we arrived too early for check-in; we explored the area and found our way to a local winery tasting venue. Both the wine and food were great.

The location is great! Beautiful views. Definitely upgrade to the premium rooms. We loved the fireplace in our room and the patio was wonderful. The hotel is dated, but you just can’t beat its location and the amenities it comes with. Staff was great and very accommodating. We have already booked another stay here.

The amenities were great, workers were very helpful, and views are Amazing. The room was clean whoever I wish thrt had a microwave in the room specially for families with children. However not having a restroom near the pool or gym were a dissapointment. Also not sure why gym is opened so late in the day, Usually gyms are open 24 hrs or at least open early 4 am.

Hotels.com reservation rate NOT honored by resort.

Made reservations thru Hotels.com. Booked 4 rooms. No problem with reservation for two rooms. The other reservation was for two identical rooms. The hotels.com summary reservation showed two identical rooms with the same rate. When I checked in the two rooms had two different rates. The incorrect rate was over $100 more than the stated hotaels.com rate. I was told the rate would be corrected at check out. The rate was NOT corrected at check out. Also, one of the rooms had a significant flow of water from an adjacent unit. Fortunately, this occurred at check out.

If it’s a pet friendly hotel, it would really be helpful if the restaurant on site was pet friendly as well. The room was relatively clean but it would be better if the floors—both inside and out—were tile or LVT. Carpet isn’t conducive to pets. We loved the fireplace feature, but it did get a bit smokey in our room. You’re pretty close to wine country, so wine glasses in the room would be appreciated. The mini fridge was stocked but left little room for our own stuff. A microwave would be awesome.

This is a nice hotel right on the beach. Very nice views of the ocean and sunset from the room. The hotel itself is on the older side but it is maintained well. Nice in-room fireplace and several outdoor fire pits overlooking the ocean, if you want to roast marshmallows for smores. Restaurant was good. Resort staff was friendly and helpful. It is the closest hotel on the beach to Hearst castle and Cambria is just 10 minutes away, really offering more food and shopping options. Can’t beat the location in the area. We will be back to bring our little schnauzer next time as it is pet friendly. We came in from Silicon Valley. Try to book when the weather is warm and sunny as it could get cold even in summer. We got lucky with all sunny days but still barely 70 degrees.
