This place is NOT a resort. It’s dirty, some rooms have AC, some don’t, and they make no effort to inform you of this before booking. THE CARPETS AND UPHOLSTERED CHAIRS MUST BE THROWN OUT. My mom was so affected by the air in the room that she went to sleep wearing a mask — and still woke up extremely sick and wheezing. I had similar symptoms, though not as severe. When we arrived, the air in the room was at least 20 degrees hotter than outside. It was stuffy, stale, and smelled awful. While trying to air the room out, we spoke with the front desk, who casually told us the hotel doesn't have air conditioning. The next morning, however, another guest told us she did have AC — so there's clearly no consistency and zero transparency. Bottom line: if you enjoy breathing, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. If you have any kind of respiratory issue, RUN. I wouldn’t be shocked if the health department shows up.

We had the Deluxe Oceanfront King room and were so impressed by our entire stay! The view was incredible! The ocean is practically in your room! I upgraded to the Special occasion package and had rose petals, candy and champagne waiting when we arrived. The little restaurant had food that was outstanding. We were so impressed by everything. I can't wait to go back and will recommend Cavalier to everyone.

Check in and check out was easy through the front desk. Was not offered an Express checkout opportunity. Was offered an upgrade from deluxe to premium at a discount. Nice. Loved the view of the ocean. Nice fireplace. Television reception is pretty bad. Be careful walking across the grass due to many gopher holes. Would go back. To bad there’s not much EV charging in the area.
