Location is great but paper thin walls
This hotel is very close to the Hearst Castle and the staff is very friendly,but the walls are paperthin and you hear everything your neighbors say, every time they run the water and everytime they flush the toilet We were miserable and had to put in earplugs. The rooms are also rundown.

At first I was disappointed that it was a motel and not a hotel. I don't like having to go outside to get to my breakfast first thing in the morning esp when it is cold but it worked out. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was amble. The bed was comfy and the hot water was great in the shower. The room was a bit musty but I guess that it to be expected being near the ocean.It had a cute little pool and a fire pit by the pool. The rooms were serviced every day which is a nice surprise as many hotels no longer do this. It was very convenient to get to Hearst Castle and to Cambria.

Hearst Castle Day trip
This is my "go to" hotel when I'm in the area. The owner is very friendly and nice. Our room was clean and had no issues at all with our stay. The breakfast in the morning is always satisfying. Will stay here again.

The gentleman who manages the front desk is a gem, the kind of guy who remembers everyone's name and always has fresh cookies out. He is kind, patient, and efficient. It's clear how much they are trying here- thoughtful touches like a fire at sundown and a sizable breakfast buffet. We were able to park right next to the room, making life so much easier. I was traveling solo with little kids, so I booked solely based on the heated swimming pool. It was still too cold for me, but my kids loved it. Overall, it felt like a charming stay.

The staff were very nice and helpful at check in and check out. The hotel was sufficient and close to Hearst Castle. It’s an older hotel, but the rooms were very clean. The free continental breakfast was very good with quite a bit of options. The motel is older. Nothing fancy, but it was very clean with spacious rooms, comfortable beds with free breakfast and very nice staff. Id definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you Quality Inn for a hospitable stay.

Love the pool, jacuzzi and fire pit area! You need 3 hands to get ice out of the machine 1 to hold the ice bucket while the 2nd hand holds the lid open then the 3rd hand uses the ice scooper to grab ice & place in bucket.

The manager is super friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for our family of 5. The tea and coffee in reception (and yummy cookies) was a really nice touch after a long drive. Can not fault our stay.
