i really don’t understand how this hotel was a 5 star hotel - it looked like a 2 star hotel. It was very old, rundown, and did not have the best customer service. Their parking situation was atrocious and they wouldn’t serve dinner till 8pm and lunch till 1:30pm. it was located in a noisy neighborhood and you could hear everything outside.

Very peaceful sanctuary with incredibly attentive and helpful staff. The evening dinner while expensive was absolutely amazing! For us it was “WOW” food and plentiful. Actually the two of us could have shared one meal and walked away full! We ate breakfast there all 3 days and don’t regret it. Very convenient and fresh, locally sourced food.

Beautiful property. Grounds & rooms aesthetically pleasing. Pool was nice & drinks were delicious. Not the most practical place - small kitchen with no dish cloth, pots/pans, dish soap. The property’s restaurant is closed Monday - Wednesday and there aren’t a lot of options for dining. We went to the grocery store since we couldn’t find a restaurant nearby w/availability until 9:30. You are limited with what you can prepare due to the lack of equipment. Just keep this in mind. Sofa cover dirty and needed to be washed, food residue from prior guests on table when we arrived.

Rooms very comfortable, breakfast superb and menu and flod delicious. A place to stay at at least 3 days. Very friendly atmosphere

We loved everything about this property. It had a very comforting “feels-like-home” atmosphere, and it was truly beautiful. The room was everything we could ask for— scenic views, a very comfortable bed, spacious closet, and a lovely bathroom with exceptional amenities. This town is iconic and beautiful, and the people really made us feel like we belonged there. The only concern we had with this experience was that the concierge at the front desk was a bit strange upon our arrival. She was elderly, so perhaps I am out of line here, but she did not make eye contact and her eyes appeared a bit glassy and blurred. She had a strange appearance, very pale and though she was elderly, her hair was long and dark and hung in front of her face. Also the girl in the closet was a bit alarming for us. I would Highly recommend staying here for the unique experience. The elevator attendant was similarly strange like the concierge, but was equally helpful and kind. I found it odd, as an American, that they both spoke perfect english and had perfected American dialect. My wife thought this place was haunted, but we decided it was just our imagination.
