The room was clean, bed was ok. Lots of dining options within walking distance. TV didn’t work but that was not a big concern. Gentleman at the desk was pleasant when we arrived.

Extremely clean, recently renovated rooms. Great amenities in the room- mini fridge with freezer space (perfect for freezing ice packs overnight), Keurig coffee Maker, space to put your bags off the floor. You can see a lot of effort is being made to continuously update and modernize the overall property. There are some nice touches throughout the property. We also arrived on a day the restaurant was closed, and they offered to prepare us food knowing that there really isn't anything nearby. That was very considerate. There is some construction taking place on site; however you do not hear any noise from the site.

The room was clean and comfortable. It would be nice to have a small keurig machine. I bring my own pods. I did make a coffee that was supplied but it wasn’t very good. Good thing. Tim hortons is only a 7 minute drive.

First, the restaurant was very nice. Good solid food and an enthusiastic crew working hard. It should be reviewed separately from the hotel because: Second, the three bedroom detached house we rented was not good. An overflowing coffee can of cigarette butts on the front porch. It was not clean(“filthy” to quote my adult daughter). The walls had all kinds of smashed bugs and just dirt on them. The floors were not to be walked on without foot protection. The microwave mounted over the stove looked like it had five years of accumulated bacon splatter on its face. The kitchen cupboards had half used bread and such left over from who knows when. The furniture resembled stuff someone might recycle from the local landfill. It’s a bad sign when you walk into a place and the first thing you do is pull out your phone to search for an alternative. There was no alternative. It was a holiday weekend and we needed a spacious base for our exploration. Everything else up and down the road was booked, so we stayed. I asked about the state of that house while in the restaurant(which is also the front desk) and the man said “oh yeah, we rent that out to a lot of traveling Hydro crews and such”. Not really a justification for its poor state. This house really should NOT be rented out in its current state. Even to traveling work crews. I can’t comment on the hotel rooms as I didn’t ever see inside one. In summary: a nice and sufficient restaurant. The 3 bedroom “family” unit? HARD PASS.
