Second time staying at Villa Eyrie. It might be my new favorite hotel. Gorgeous setting, very comfortable rooms, excellent restaurant, and generous and gracious staff. Just be careful getting on and off the highway.

Families look elsewhere - I booked a one bedroom that in all photos on the hotel’s website has a wall and door between the kitchen space and the bedroom. The room we were given only had thin sliding translucent panels between the bedroom and the kitchen space so anyone sleeping in the bedroom could see and hear everything in the kitchen space. My parents also booked a one bedroom and got the same sliding translucent janky panels instead of an actual bedroom. I reached out to staff to ask if we were accidentally given the wrong room and were ignored for a while then they stated that the room is in fact a one bedroom despite it lacking a fire rated door and an egress window. At 10pm on our second night they offered us another room (we were only staying two nights and returning after our cruise). I requested a partial refund of $100 per night and confirmation on our return that we would get an actual one bedroom- four days later and no response from Natalia, the manager. Also our bathroom didn’t lock and had yet again one of those translucent sliding door instead of an actual door. Note: you also cannot get dropped off or picked up in the front because it’s a bus lane. You can only be collected from the back which has several steep steps and lacks a ramp for wheelchair/luggage use. Look and book elsewhere.

We only stayed one night but the unit was well equipped for a longer stay, had everything you would need for cooking, was clean and comfortable. Host very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is very conveniently located close to the concert venues I was interested in and it was clean and comfortable. The aircon was a bit loud so I had to turn it off a few times for the night. A silly thing perhaps but it's the first time in any hotel [including expensive chains] I got a well functioning iron with a steam function that doesn't drip and leave wet stains so I was happy with that. Also got an extra view of a movie shoot in the evening on Seymour street. Overall very happy for the price in comparison to the other places in downtown.

I was a bit wary about this hotel being fully digital, but it was wonderful! It meant no lines, no waiting, and no fuss. My room was big, cool and comfortable and opened right onto the waterfront walkway. The best part? The rooms are very nearly soundproof. A bachelorette was next to me and I didn’t hear a thing. Only complaint (very minor) is that the bed is right next to the door and you can hear hallway noise and doors slamming shut.
