We really enjoyed our stay. The Inn is so charming. Our room was big and so comfortable. The staff were lovely. And we really enjoyed sitting with the other guests at breakfast and getting to know them. Would definitely recommend to others as well stay ourselves again.

We stayed at the hotel in the suites directly across from the main building. We were disappointed that the infinity spa was not available as advertised. We did have access to a large juzzazi tub in our room but it did not offer the same ambience we were wanting. The suites were clean but very outdated. A bar fridge was available but was noisy and leaked. We informed the front desk but no maintenance came to resolve the concern. We also required making calls to front desk to request more supplies such as clean towels. The schedule to attend to the room by housekeeping was inconsistent. Free breakfast offered was nice although there is a limited menu. The staff in the bistro were pleasant but at times limited in numbers which affected service overall. We enjoyed the location. It was quiet and accessible to downtown by walking. Parking a bonus. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would likely return but feel this hotel requires some updated features. It truly has great potential as a tranquil setting. It seems the spa at the site takes all the glamour and the hotel is left wanting!

No one gave me a parking pass, no one told me ice machine on 2nd floor was not working or an alternative. No one told me about the WiFi password. The man tried to convince me that I was in a section of the upgraded area, but the rug had stains and window area had some decaying going on.My view was an entrance for employees and they were disturbing my time. Kept hearing noise creaking from the floor above. I think they look at solo travelers as a way to put them in rooms less desirable. Breakfast was not what I expected. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom outstanding

King suite was spacious and clean.

Everything was excellent about our stay and the room was great. I will give a mixed review about location as it’s excellent for walking and seeing St. John’s but it is next door to a park with several sketchy people hanging out nightly. We were okay with it but others might be less comfortable. Thanks for the stay.

Very small room with tiny ensuite, all very clean with decent amenities. Ceiling fan & window that opens kept place a comfortable temperature for sleeping. Although shared kitchen had a large water bottle for filling a glass, individual bottles would be preferable for convenience. Fridge & freezer were convenient but didn’t use the kitchen or shared sitting area. No real room to sit other than on bed, even though 2 chairs & a small table were provided. Wasn’t there to hang out in room though so not a big deal. Mattress a little too soft for our liking and dipped in the centre, so should probably be replaced. Black out curtains on window is a plus, however the curtain rod is too small for the window allowing far too much light into the room the minute the sun rises. (Hallway light also seeps through the door edges.) Plenty of free parking spaces in behind the house & a second floor rear entrance is super convenient! Super location for exploring St John’s downtown by foot. Love the character & charm of a historic jelly bean home, making the experience more authentic and memorable. The positives far outweighed the negatives but fixing those features mentioned would surely improve the overall experience & rating. Loved St John’s and would definitely return to the city! Good communication from host through messaging but never laid eyes on host or any staff. Overall good place to stay, although very tiny.

Dated but comfortable

Great city and great hotel will be back
