Hotels Wedding Venues in Surakarta
You both said “yes” and pretty soon it’ll be “I do,” but there’s a lot to get together before the big day. (I know, I know, don’t remind you!) But we can help you out with part of the planning by getting you a great deal on hotel wedding venues in Surakarta. When you book through us, you’ll have more money to spend on the things that truly matter, like monogrammed napkins and flowers—more flowers!
Here comes. . . your wedding venue
Sure, you could have your wedding party play a scavenger hunt to find the spots for the ceremony, the reception, and then their hotels. Or you could coordinate it all in the same place. Many wedding hotels provide more than just a dance floor. Need a DJ? How about some food and drink services? Set it all up separately through the hotel and vendors ahead of time and it’ll be ready to go when your party arrives.
Booking your rooms at or near the wedding venue means your crew can stumble. . . err. . . stroll to their room when the party’s over. They’ll have just what they need to rest up for the next day. There may even be honeymoon suites available, so you two can make your night even more special.
Get hitched to great savings
It’s your big day and we want to help you save so you can go all out on your honeymoon or that knife set still on your registry. Filter hotels by:
-
Price: Looking for a Surakarta wedding venue that won’t bust your budget? We have rates starting at $21
-
Amenities: Full catering? Honeymoon suite? Maybe some pool cabanas? Pick the hotel that helps your dream wedding become a reality.
-
Hotwire Hot Rate: We’ll lift the veil on the hotel name after you book. But trust us, this will be a happy marriage between a wonderful rate and a lovely hotel.
With your impending nuptials, you can check a few things off that wedding to-do list by booking a hotel in Surakarta for wedding venues. And all those savings? Hello, honeymoon!

![At the museum no photos are allowed which is really unfortunate as it was well worth the visit and the guided tour is definitely not to be missed. In the museum there are even Batik made from the Dutch era which depicts stories like Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White!
I enjoyed the tour v much and at the end of the tour we were brought to this room where the artisan were working on hand drawn batik.
Below is an excerpt from Wikipedia for anyone interested in learning more about the process of batik making.
Firstly, a cloth is washed, soaked and beaten with a large mallet. Patterns are drawn with pencil and later redrawn using hot wax, usually made from a mixture of paraffin or bees wax, sometimes mixed with plant resins, which functions as a dye-resist. The wax can be applied with a variety of tools. A pen-like instrument called a canting (IPA: [tʃantiŋ], sometimes spelled with old Dutch orthography tjanting) is the most common. A canting is made from a small copper reservoir with a spout on a wooden handle. The reservoir holds the resist which flows through the spout, creating dots and lines as it moves. For larger patterns, a stiff brush may be used. Alternatively, a copper block stamp called a cap (IPA: [tʃap]; old spelling tjap) is used to cover large areas more efficiently.
After the cloth is dry, the resist is removed by scraping or boiling the cloth. The areas treated with resist keep their original color; when the resist is removed the contrast between the dyed and undyed areas forms the pattern. This process is repeated as many times as the number of colors desired.
The most traditional type of batik, called batik tulis (written batik), is drawn using only the canting. The cloth need to be drawn on both sides and dipped in a dye bath three to four times. The whole process may take up to a year; it yields considerably finer patterns than stamped batik.
