The hotel is at an awesome location. The room we got was recently renovated, it was modern and clean.but the room has a strong smell of paint from recent renovation, I was having trouble going to sleep from the strong smell.

The property is very tired and attention to detail is just not there. Our power went out on the first night for an hour or so and there was no communication, nor an offer for any compensation or even an apology. The room is also the first room I have stayed in the was not air conditioned. The bathroom was really nice and clean, but the bed spreads were stained and horrible. The included breakfast was quite average. Overall they are relying on the tourist trade for this below average hotel.

The hotel grew on me. We arrived on Christmas Day at the same time as a large coach party so check in was a little slow. I suggest that the hotel puts a soft drink stand with cups by reception, as it's a hotel that does attract a lot of coach parties and queues at reception are inevitable. At least offering people a free welcome cold drink would be a nice touch. In fact, the staff were really friendly. Our room was spacious, with two queen beds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Distinction Luxmire hotel. Its fully renovated, modern bath & bed and very spacious. It’s very convenient to walk to all the restaurants in the town centre. Morning buffet breakfast very nice with a lot of options. Overall we enjoyed our stay over there and will go back there for sure. Thanks

The food at the restaurant is good. Customer service is good too. Only issue is the shower head. The water pressure for the hot option is extremely strong.

Staff were amazing, rooms were clean and comfortable, the restaurant/bar next door was just as amazing with great food and staff! Breakfast was delicious, a great 1 night stay on the way to Milford Sound. Definitely recommend!
