Good place to stay
Communal area was very welcome particularly as we spent most of the day there (along with another group) due to inclement weather conditions. No problems having meals in there. Comfortable beds, but sliding bathroom door rather noisy and toilet directly opposite the head of the single bed. Wide choice of cooked and continental breakfast at good price. Staff/owners very friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is dated, but had what we needed for a one night stay. The receptionist, Dang, was wonderful & extremely helpful in getting us reservations for the glow worm caves & a trip to Milford Sound.

It was okay. The bed was comfortable. Worn carpets in places showed that the hotel is in need of a refresh.

Room was quiet and warm but old fittings. Taps in bathroom too close to the sink so couldn’t get hands properly underneath it and didn’t turn off completely so kept running. Shower tap was a dial type thing that kept turning by itself so water got scalding hot at times.

Brilliant receptionist. Room was ok but had some minor faults. Did have access to a microwave and crockery which weren’t in room. Room service was incredible and did a great job

Beds were clean and comfortable , shower was good . The hotel is very old , dated and shabby though . OK for a nights sleep except for the noise from the air conditioning/ heater system outside the building .

This accommodation had the most comfortable beds out of all our holiday stays. :) It is an older venue that could do with new carpet! But it was clean and had everything we needed including a big room to relax in. The location is handy to main roads and to the township. Very easy parking.

Tidy, basic and cheap. Worked well for a quick overnight stop and would be cool with a makeover. Be nice to see some extra amenties in the room (toaster/microwave) and better reception WiFi.

As wifi is so pervasive nowadays, some of us may not even look for wifi when choosing hotels. Do note that this hotel does not have wifi in the rooms, but only at the reception and one stairs lobby. The shower head in 215 is leaking at the sides and thus low pressure in the main beam.

Property is well behind in maintenance of rooms and facilities. Light fixture screws missing Shower hose fitting too loose, so points down not out, toilet seats loose. Other room shower, water flow temperature changing all time when in shower. On plus side we did have room change given to us when faults of first room discussed.
