Gorgeous view, excellent location, comfortable

Very cute motel, with a gorgeous view towards the lake. Huge room with a double bed and another single bed, kitchenette, and a bathroom separate from the toilet. Excellent location, very close to the city center, and the view is gorgeous. Kind and nice staff. The kitchen is a bit outdated, so I took a point off the ״property's condition״. But it has everything you need for a meal, including a stove and everything else.

Lovely clean room! Beautiful view that was a short walk to lovely restaurants and cafes. Would be great if the blind could be turned around to roll down against the window rather than away as it left quite a large gap where we could see out to people walking along the verandah to their room and they could see in.

Loves this place, great views from first floor. Walking distance to town. The recommendation to see the short movie on Fiordland was a gem, Kitchen had everything we needed and was clean with new pots dishes etc. warm and cosy. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived late and a map to our room with our receipt was posted outside the office. The key was in our apartment. Light was on and we felt very welcomed. Clean and spacious for our family of 5. Highly recommend!

The manager (possibly the owner) was lovely. We had a lake view room, which was beautiful once the fog lifted. It’s an easy walk to nearby restaurants, and we stayed for two nights on our way to and from Milford Sound—a great place to stop. The unit was clean and very well renovated, and we were pleasantly surprised to have an ensuite in the two-bedroom setup. The only downside was the underfloor heating. I loved it, but my husband and daughter had trouble sleeping, even with the window open. We asked if the temperature could be lowered, but the only option was to turn it off entirely, as it takes 24 hours for the floor to cool. Thankfully, they slept better the second night once the heater was off.

Great little motel. Large clean rooms with everything you need. Friendly staff, plenty of parking. Ground floor rooms open up onto gardens with lakefront views. You can watch the seaplanes land on the lake. Easy, flat walk into the town centre.

Holiday stay with a view

Very clean and tidy, and spacious Comfortable beds. The under floor heating in bathroom and toilet was lovely. Plus there was a small wardrobe and shelves for suitcases. We had an upstairs unit with great ever changing views of the lake. Do be aware if you are upstairs you have quite a few stairs to carry your luggage up.
