Loved our stay here! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. All the extra touches were perfect

I was celebrating my 38 yr anniversary. We stay for five days downtown Vancouver. I like that hotel was around everything. The hotel was very expensive I thought, the pictures they showed online was much prettier than the actual suite I purchased. The fridge was not working good and the space was tight I thought. Stayed five days and no cleaning service they told us. The suite was outdated, like it needed to be mopped the floors .Overall the level Vancouver Yorktown Seymour hotel and suite was ok. But I was still disappointed with the room. I was on the first floor . We just made the best of the stay.

We were not assigned the rooms we reserved. I requested two double beds on both of my reservations , the King suite. The King suite had two choices , one was one king bed and the other was two double beds, which is the one I requested on both of my reservations. I also checked with the hotel agent at the time of my booking and was told to request two double beds for each room. I called Expedia when I checked in and was told by the Expedia agent that Expedia will issue a refund if we did not get the rooms we requested. There were no rooms available at any of the other hotels in the downtown Vancouver area, therefore, we had no choice but to stay at Century Plaza. We had to sleep on uncomfortable cots for six nights because the hotel could not provide us any other rooms because it was sold out for the entire 6 nights of our stay. We were not accommodated in any way. All we heard was , " there is nothing we can do because it is a third party booking , meaning Expedia. I am requesting a reimbursement for both of my reservations due to unfulfilled services and the fact that we were not given the rooms we requested. It was nothing but an unpleasant and miserable stay for us at the Century Plaza. There was no cooperation or support from any of the hotel managers, mainly due to the fact that my reservations were booked with a third party agency, namely Expedia.
