We recently did a two-day stay at Ukee Peninsula Motel in Ucluelet, and our experience was largely positive. From the onset, the check-in process was incredibly smooth—even though we were running late and missed the office hours, the staff were accommodating and ensured our self-check-in was seamless by staying in contact via text.
The motel has recently undergone renovations, and it shows. It is sleek and modern - we got the (2) queen beds, which had a little living area and the basic necessities. We would have liked if there was also a little kitchenette, but I see that it is available for other rooms only.
The location was quite convenient. We are steps away from the Ucluelet Museum, and there are a lot of beaches around. Its proximity to the local CO-OP also meant we could grab any essentials as necessary.
However, it wasn't all perfect. Our main concern was the thinness of the walls. This meant we could hear our neighbors more clearly than we would have liked, which detracted from our otherwise peaceful stay.
Overall, it was such a pleasant stay and definitely recommend. The positives definitely outweighed our one concern. A great place to stay, exceptional service, great location.
