I liked the registering clerk. She was very nice, helpful and informative. The maintenance guy was friendly as was his dog. The staff serving the breakfast seemed uninterested in helping the guests. The eggs had no tastes and seemed to be sitting there. Not much to choose from. The park across the street had homeless resididing. The men would take showers with a water hose. The sofa bed looked worn and uncomfortable. There was a cigarrette burn on the armrest and looked they had tried to fix it. Must have been old since there was no sign of having been done recently. Not being sure if they knew I reported this. The next thing I know I was accussed of having igarrette ashescin the sink a a civarrette butt. I was also accussed of of placing a plastic bag over the smoke alarm. In the first place Im not a smoker. I have a history of pulmonary fibrosis. Next, Im the safety officer where I'm emplyed. I would not do this. The clerk on discharge charged me another deposit instead of returning it. I called and he corrected it. Then came the call of all the wrong doings I supposedly did and stated they had photos. I stayed at a Best Western in San Antonio the prior month and was great. Deserved the 9 stars. This hotel does not deserve 8 stars as advertised. I have stayed in hotels that cost less that are cleaner and more modern. The hot tub in the room had black spots. They should replace them. I definetly will not be staying at this hotel ever again. I

customer service was very poor, we kept getting told two different things based off late check out, the lady at the desk who was there mornings named Angela we weren’t very sure if she was rude or nice, she was nice enough to not charge us early check in but her tone was very off, we were told that late check out is a $30 fee by this lady but with Angela she said that there wasn’t any late check out after 12pm but then told us that we can check out at 2pm for $75 , she was also rude when I told her our room number when we checked out we had said the correct number but she heard a different one. we didn’t like her customer service at all but overall the room she gave us was very neat.

Bed was comfortable, staff was nice and helpful. Floor was extremely dirty, doesnt look like its been mopped ever, my sons feet were black within minutes of walking on the floor. Shower was skeptical that we all used shower shoes. And transients made us little nervous for our belongings, even one sleeping by the ice machine. but they did have many cameras all around exterior of property.

I actually dig this place. The staff is awesome.
Older hotel across from homeless, drug infested park. Ice machines failed to work, had trouble with door key at first. They corrected issue but it took a while.

The drag show restaurant is a negative that joins the property. Homeless outside begging was a negative. Need more than 1 handicap space for lower floor

Disappointing
The first room I was in didn’t have a working thermostat, so they moved me to a different room. Both rooms had a very strong cleaner smell, like cleaning solution was dumped all over. At 2:30 am, someone tried getting into my room for a few minutes, then left. The breakfast is not ‘made to order’, it’s just a normal crappy hotel breakfast. Staff were very friendly, but the area is not safe.
