Time For a Change

This hotel used to be better than decent. Now - not so much. The hallways were DIRTY, there was a room service tray in front of a nearby room that was there when I checked into my room and still there when I checked out almost 20 hours later. The carpet and the chaise in the room where stained. The towel rack on the shower door was so loose I was afraid to use it and the shower has lukewarm water. This hotel has been a go-to for me in the past. I need to pick another, I think.

I had a great experience with the staff. They were friendly and attentive. The only thing is the problem with the conditions of the bathroom. I was a business trip alone. So certain things I can let slide. I had a dripping faucet and faucet handle was leaking, one the lotion dispensers mounted to the wall was coming off. Then toilet took forever to flush. Finally the shower pan was filling up while I was taking a shower. I called and they sent someone up right away. He fixed the shower and toilet. He then asked if that sink needs to be fixed or is it a problem. I get it sometimes building just gets old. So I guess this is in the works for a remodel. I hope everything turns out well. I’m sure the other rooms aren’t that bad. Also the bed and pillows were amazing. I slept great, once I shut the door to bathroom. So that darn faucet didn’t keep making a dripping sound all night.

Great Stay for Saguaro NP

We chose this hotel based on its location to Saguaro National Park and we were happy because it’s incredibly convenient. The area is also surrounded by numerous restaurants if you wish to venture away from the property and the room was spacious and comfortable.

$15 parking fee for no good reason and not readily disclosed. Thin walls and can hear other rooms and highway traffic noise all night and morning. Low staff rating for the super rude host at check-in Sunday night. Other staff and cleaning people were lovely. Small but ok pool and lounge area.

My room had no hot water, the TV kept shorting out and there were dead bugs under my bed, as well as my bathroom sink did not drain well. I also had a bunch of dust and spider webs in the bathroom. Expect better for the money you pay.
