Welcome free cocktails we’re not given. The suite I reserved wasn’t available but I wasn’t told so went to the room and had To go change rooms. The front desk person was not apologetic and just said they were at 96% occupancy. No credit or any compensation was offered.

The casita we stayed was so charming with a king bed, persian rugs on the floor and a kiva fireplace. The bathroom was spacious with a large tiled shower and excellent water pressure. Service was great. Beautiful pool and hot tub. I love staying at Lodge on the Desert!!!

We were assigned a room at check in. The room looked very clean but it smelled bad. The front desk moved us to a new room right away The next room was very clean and quiet. On our second night the ceiling started leaking water onto our bed at 10pm We were moved to another room right away The new room was very clean but again had a faint odor This is a cute older hotel with lots of charm and well kept grounds. But we were unlucky with room assignments. I wouldn’t stay again

They need smart TVs in their rooms. The basic cable provided just don’t cut it. We weren’t on a trip to watch tv in a hotel room but this was a stressful 36 hour long trip and being able to watch what we wanted the two evening we were in our room would have made the stay more pleasant ( we couldn’t watch the playoff game between the Bears and Packers on the tv in our room because it was on Amazon Prime and not a basic channel). We didn’t want to go to a sports bar to watch because we’re getting up very early to head home. So the tv issue alone is cause for us not stay there again when we have to undertake a quick turnaround trip. The breakfast buffet was definitely disappointing and not worth the $40 we spent. We ate at the onsite buffet because it was convenient and we were pressed for time. I would have much rather found a Village Inn or Waffle House to eat at for that kind of money. Again, convenience won out for breakfast. The minor suggestion of needing your parking spaces repainted isn’t impacting my decision not to stay there again. And an actual coffee maker in the room would have been nice, as opposed to the electric kettle and “steeped coffee” that was offered. I don’t want to have to leave my room at 6 am in the windy cold to find a Starbucks in order to have what I know will be a coffee. Overall the room was clean and the grounds were quiet and pretty but next time we’re in Tucson we will probably spend the money ($350) on a two night stay in an air bnb.
