Service and food in the restaurant were excellent, and staff very friendly, however the outward appearance of the hotel would fit in better in a slum. It is way overdue for updating. Room was clean and quiet but very few other guests were there probably because of the appearance.

The room was really basic and looked different from the one advertised. The breakfast was terrible too. The price is too high for the quality you get. Serious upgrade needed in all areas of this hotel.

It’s a convenient place if one is travelling and just need a bed. Room was clean, friendly staff. One minor detail is that the credit card charge for “”incidentals” takes to long to be released back to the card. It was supposed to be on the morning of check out, now 10 days later it’s still a pending charge.

In all honesty, I expected better for what I paid. There were some good things. The bedding and towels were clean. The shower worked nicely and the little sink area was convenient and cute. But the fan in the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been clean in years. The light fixture in the bathroom had dead bugs in it. The bathroom needs to be renovated. The bed was very uncomfortable. You good feel the springs from the mattress. It also didn’t look like the carpet was vacuumed. The tv was low quality as well. When I was checked in, the service was great. When I was checked out, I was barely spoken to and was not confident leaving that they had even checked me out properly. My overall opinion is it needs to be renovated and updated with higher cleaning standards. The bed and tv are extremely important when you are staying in a room and both were not good.

The room was just what we needed for overnight stop driving back from Banff to Vancouver via Jasper. The added bonus of the restaurant was great and the food was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and the only negative was the TV, which had a really poor reception and picture quality, which was surprising because the WiFi was good.

Rooms and the whole hotel BADLY need update. Corners of rooms need cleaning. Notice on parking lot says not to leave valuables in vehicles. We've had our vehicle almost 3 years and never heard our alarm - till 3 times in one night staying here. Have to assume someone was trying to get into it. Play it safe, people. Next time we would pay more to stay somewhere else.

Our first room was like a smoke pit - heavy smoke odour even though a 'non smoking' property. Smoking ash tray was 3 feet from the door. Moved to a 2nd room and it was, disgustingly dirty. Neither room was similar to the photos shown on Hotels.com, in any way. We did not stay and left to find another property. Extremely disappointing for a Sandman branded property.

Staff member at the front desk was very helpful The price did not reflect the quality of the room. I booked a kitchenette and was surprised to find that there was no dish soap although I went to the desk and was quickly given some. There was no sink stopper and I was told that none existed. The power in our room failed. A call to the office and it was restored. This hotel is not cleaned to my idea of cleanliness and the hotel seems to be deteriorating. Over priced!

First time staying at this hotel. The front desk staff were super friendly. We arrived early and only had to wait 5 min for us to get into a room. Had supper at the restaurant at was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was for a small place. The staff at the restaurant was also super friendly. I forgot my purse in the restaurant and our server had safely placed it behind the counter until we came back for it. The stay here was good.

The rooms need a much needed upgrade. Steam-cleaning the carpets would be a start as our room smelled of cigarette smoke and the carpets were dirty. The extractor fan in the bathroom was so noisy that it was sure to bother the rooms around us.

The bed was clean and bathroom clean. Carpets were dirty with obvious spilt and dried (?) on it. Window sills dirty with no screen when opening to allow fresh air in. Wine bottle and beer cans on property near our room. Unkempt dumpster across from our room entrance. Battery operated smoke detector went off at 4:30 in the morning. Not a pace I would return to.
