Nice Hampton in a good area. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance and we felt very safe walking with our kids to go out for dinner after dark. We booked a king suite with pull out, which was incredibly spacious and included a small kitchen area. The room was good but the hallway did have a weird smell the first day we arrived. Luckily our room did not, and the smell was gone by day 2. Water from the tap in the bathroom was cloudy? Not sure what to think about that (1st time visiting Vancouver), but since we weren’t drinking it, we shrugged it off. Breakfast has good number of options although the breakfast space does get very crowded. We went early and always got a table during our 4 days there but we saw many other guests take food back to their rooms as there wasn’t anywhere to sit. We picked this option because they have self serve laundry, which is very handy for families traveling.

It's not luxurious but it has everything we needed/wanted. Yes parking costs extra but most hotels nowadays especially in downtown area charge for that so we are ok with it. The entire hotel seems quite new or the upkeeping done quite well. Location is great, really close to the BC place but also close enough to downtown area that you can walk to all shops. Breakfast is a bit hectic and they did run out of forks but were replenished quickly, though, don't go too late or things do run out. Overall we really like this place, we will be back if we visited again.

It was a clean room and the king bed was very comfortable. The pullout couch/bed in the king suite was not comfortable at all especially for the price of the suite the secondary bed should be a bit better than it was. Next time I would opt for two rooms in favour of getting everyone a good bed.
