I’ve stayed at Hotel Blu I’d say, 10-14 nights over 5 stays in the past year and a bit. They were a little sticky one time when my credit card was having some kind of issue but other than that the staff has been awesome and whenever I’m in Vancouver they’re one of my first checks for availability and rates.

Nice hotel, wish we got more sleep.
We really liked this hotel because of the location and stayed for two nights and went to two concerts at Rogers. Unfortunately, there were very loud talkers next door one night, and we could completely hear every word of their conversation with their children, and early in the morning.

We were unable to travel from Vancouver Island over to Vancouver because all the ferries were cancelled due to extreme weather. Hotel Blu was unwilling to even offer a credit for a future stay and charged us the full amount for the room.

Most of our stay was lovely. They provide a door sign that says “please make up my room” on one side and “Do Not Disturb” on the other. We forgot to put the sign on the door at all so we had a housekeeper walk in on us napping. That was annoying, but we did forget the sign. Then the staff was aggressively calling the room and knocking. Two calls and one more knock. I understand that we forgot the dnd sign, but after the first staff member walked in on us napping, the knocking and calling should have stopped! Very frustrating. Staff needs to communicate better with each other.
