Staff were fantastic and could not be more helpful. The room, although tired and with a burn mark of an iron in the carpet, were spacious. The added microwave and coffee maker were a bonus! Great location, plenty to offer by way of shopping, dining and locale.

Misleading Rating — Very Disappointing Stay

The hotel is located in a terrible, unsafe area surrounded by homelessness and drug activity. I don’t understand how it could receive such a high rating. The hotel itself is old, and our “deluxe” room with two queen beds had a dirty carpet and a bathroom with hair on the shower wall. Unloading luggage was a nightmare, as you have to stop at a bus station with the risk of getting a ticket from the police. The parking situation was also very sketchy, and I woke up several times in the middle of the night due to noise from the street. Overall, the place feels depressing and unsafe. I would not recommend staying here.

The staff at this establishment were the main reasons this got three stars. They were amazing. They preformed Over and above. if I were to return it's because of them The hotel is cleanish, it's just old. Beds were comfortable. Lots of wear and tear. A lot of homeless/crackheads around. They are harmless but very visible. Hotel is right next to transit that can get you anywhere. Walking distance to a few restaurants. Walking distance to the pier. If you are visiting for 3 to 4 nights, it should be fine.

Overall this was a nice property. The room itself had been recently decorated and was very spacious. What dragged it down was the location in not the best area of town. However I don’t think New Westminster is a bad area and we spent some lovely times walking along the Fraser River. Skytrain is also easy to get to being 10 minutes away.

Room size and amenities are alright. Linens, bedsheets, towels have stains and lint on them. Not sure when housekeeping is done but it wasn’t done on second night. Third night didn’t provide towels.

The hotel is a few steps away from the Columbia SkyTrain station. It's an old hotel but we'll maintained. Reception staff were very friendly. The bed was softer than I wanted but otherwise it was a very nice stay.
